mp3 player compatability

i have a YP-T10 mp3 player (samsung) and i tried to install mini C.D but it dosnt work, is it compatable with ubuntu or do i have to install stuff? if so what? i think i need media studio?... in booklet for mp3 it says i need internet explorer, pentium 500MHz or higher, windows XP service pack or higher, directX or higher, and windows media player. help im a newbie:(

To help you better we need some infos about your hardware so please connect your YP-T10 mp3 player (samsung)

Then open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

lsusb

lsusb is lower of LSUSB

copy and paste result here.

jeane, plase, could you type in your terminal the command: (having pluged in the MP3)

   sudo fdisk -l

see that -l is a L in smallcase, and the command

   sudo df

then paste booth here. Thanks!

Well this is a good answer, you must try to update to 8.04.lts this will fix
a lot of problems, Please download the .ISO image from:

http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/releases/hardy/release/
