Memory Map on Linux

Asked by Mike Riches

Successfully downloaded Ordnance Survey maps (used by walkers in UK) to my computer, which uses Linux system.

Can plan routes OK but cannot then pass the amended map, or even a route overlay, to my gps (Memory Map A2800). Keep getting a fault error. I know in past Memory Map has said it does not support Linux but wondered if anyone else has overcome problem. The gps has "Windows CE Core. 5.0 on it.

I have Memory Map marine charts on the gps but these came from a CD. The OS maps were downloaded from digitalmapshop.com .

Thanks for swift response. In this area I'm afraid my skills are somewhat limited, but will see if my son can try when he is next here. Thanks.

To open a terminal, use Ctrl+Alt+T.
To copy/paste from Firefox use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.
For the terminal, it's special. You need to use Shift+Ctrl+C and Shift+Ctrl+V

Can you help with this problem?
