I am unable to install Miro on Ubuntu 8.04

Asked by Admirable

I recently tried to install Miro 1.27 on my laptop. Using Ubuntu 8.04. I am tried using synaptic package manager and was unsuccessful. I followed the instructions at the "get miro" download site for Ubuntu Hardy version 8.04. However I am running a 32bit version of Ubuntu. I am not sure if this is the problem or not as the repository is listed for AMD 64 and i386 computers. Can someone help me with this. I would like to have Miro or a program like it to watch internet tv. Thanx, Admirable
