minitube not working properly

only playing 10 secs and then going to next video.

You are using a 3rd party source for minitube and not the official one from the Ubuntu repos. I suggest you uninstall minitube and disable the PPA (or remove it). You can then install the 1.6 version from the official repos and it should work.

Also run:

sudo apt-get --purge remove minitube
sudo apt-get --purge autoremove

To get the bad minitube out

changing the PPA settings have caused new problems like WiFi is disabled
and i have reinstalled UBUNTU 12.04

Sounds like a bug. I suggest you run:

ubuntu-bug minitube

and report the issue, add to the bug that the later version does the same and that a fresh user makes no difference
