page view problem

Asked by Brenda H. Nelson

I am using 10.10 I believe--can't find "system" info anywhere. But I am writing a book and want to see only one page at a time--but I am seeing two side by side--it is just annoying. How can I switch it to one page per screen in the word processing program?
Thanks so much.
Brenda

Either

 (1) Hold down ctrl and then scroll in and out to change the zoom level

or

(2) Use the slider on the bottom right to select the zoom level you need.

When the zoom level is sufficiently high that two pages won't fit side-by-side, then the display will show only a single page.

if you're using pageview. just click on the icon on the toolbar that looks like the 2pages of an open book. it'll toggle between single and double page view.

Thanks Mycae:
I did try your suggestion and it was close enough that I was able to
figure out just what to do. I did not need to depress control or use the
slider. I just needed to click on the icon of a tiny single page in the
lower right hand corner of the screen. There are also icons of two double
pages side by side right there. Some how I had inadvertantly clicked on one
of the double page icons a few weeks ago and couldn't figure out what I had
done to change the format so that I was seeing two pages side by side
instead of one single one--one above the other as I scrolled down.

But all set now--thanks to you.

The Office wizard help needs someone to edit that program. It is not user
friendly. I could find nothing in there about how to change page formating.

So thank you very VERY much!

It sounds from what you're saying that you've got the answer, and the situation is fully resolved. Assuming that is the case, please mark this question as Solved. (You can do that at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+question/177923.)
