ktorrent opens then shuts down

Please open a terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type:

ktorrent

Please report errors here...

Or if you are using kubuntu with kde (different from my previous Gnome Ubuntu menu) to open a terminal, look for it under kde menu...

I found a bug related to your issue... might be already dressed...

So first please be sure you system is updated and upgraded, open a terminal from the menu and type:
(when the system ask you a password give your user password, you will not see nothing when you type it, then press enter)

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

If there are updated please apply updates then restart your pc then retry...

this is what i got,went to upgrade and checked but it said,updated an hour ago,restarted but problem still there.

i,ve sorted it,re installed ubuntu,bit drastic but its fixed.i aint going back to windows!many thanks for all the advice.
