Financial Summary Page

Asked by Cecil Ennett

The "amount column" does not match the "balance after" column. It seems to be adding the "amount" column to the "balance after" column after the second line on the page.
What would cause the inaccurate calculation? And how would I correct this problem?
Thanks for any help,
Cecil

The "balance after" column is calculated based on the forecast balance for the previous date, minus/plus the amount of your scheduled payments.

Thanks for the info, but if you get a moment to explain a little bit
more about forecast balance and where do we get the forecast balance,
maybe I will understand. Thanks

The "balance after" attempts to provide an insight on what your balance might be after you make that scheduled payment.

The forecast can be viewed on the "Forecast", which you can access through the left navigation bar. The forecast is calculated in 2 different ways. The default and simplest one, is the scheduled method. It uses your schedules and future transactions to try to infer a balance in the future. This is most likely the method you are using right now.

The 2nd one uses your past transactions, and has diverse ways of inferring a trend over time (average, weighted average, linear trend), and then attempts to calculate future balances of your accounts based on that.

The payments items of the home page then use this information to show an estimated balance after the payment.
