any idea on when audio will be incorporated

any idea when voice audio will be incorporated in the program, Im using it for Yahoo and it would be nice to be able to use voice!?

What program are you talking about? I assume you mean Gaim or Kopete.

Sorry, just noticed this is in kdenetwork. The only voice feature on the roadmap for Kopete is Jingle, which is for the Jabber protocol. As far as I know this is the only protocol with voice in development, you may be better off with the official Yahoo client for linux if you absolutely need voice.

Thanks Matt, Im totally new to linux and trying to absorbe the difference between microsoft and linux and for an old guy it comes slow...i tried to install yahoo but did not quite understand the process, i keep working at it and sure i will one day figure it out

  id like to dump windows all together with the exception of remote access i need for my windows server

As far as I know, Kopete does not support voice chat, nor does the official Yahoo! client for Linux. The default application for voice chat in Ubuntu is Ekiga. In order to use that, the people you are talking to will also need to be using Ekiga, or some other SIP client.
