Hi,

You may want to have a look at a previous question #73423 (https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hplip/+question/73423), that was originally filed as bug #384198.

Same for question #28534 (https://answers.launchpad.net/hplip/+question/28534) and bug #209393. For a reason I don't really understand, similar bug reports are systematically turned into questions, which means that some devs consider that this is not a bug (it should work if configured properly).

this printer works fine with parallel port but still some shortcomings with usb
