i had the same error.

workaround: download the packages that failed to fetch using a browser
or wget. worked for me.

Bug description:
Binary package hint: hplip

the new upgrade with hplip packages fails on gutsy gibbon: "Größe stimmt nicht"
(size doesn't match)

Perhaps s.o. should check the sizes in the data files...
