gtkpod ran fine on 23.10, but cannot install on 24.4

I was able to install and run gtkpod successfully on 23.10

But it will not install on 24.4

Says "no package information found"

gtkpod depends on another package that is not available in Ubuntu 24.04 either (anjuta).
For both these packages there has not been any activity at the original source for years and even their homepages are not existent any more.

For a workaround you might try manually installing the version for 23.10 on 24.04, but I did not check whether that is possible at all, and I cannot guarantee for anything.

Thanks for your response Manfred.

After some trial and error (although I have been a software developer for over 40 years, I am brand new to Ubuntu and desktop linux), I managed to install by downloading the package and dependencies.

Thanks very much for your help.

App starts up and recognises my iPod.
