i recently install google earth and when I try to start from the icon it dont start

the easiest way to install anything is via software center or the synaptic package manager.

i assume you downloaded the .bin file from google earth website, right?

you can use this method:

press CTL+ALT+T to get into terminal, then type

sudo apt-get install google-earth

enter your password when asked. it will not be displayed.

the file will be automatically downloaded and installed

The most common cause of this problem is bug 690974. In those cases, installing the package called "lsb-core" fixed the problem. You can do this in the Ubuntu Software Center or Synaptic Package Manager.
