Want to eliminate the Authentication dialog box

Asked by Aric Rickard

I am the only person with access to my computer. It is a real pain in the butt to have to put in a password and authenticate it every time I want to perform an "administrative" task.

Is there some way to keep the Authentication dialog box from appearing before I get "permission" to persome some task on the computer.

I am new to Linux so please maky any suggestions detailed and step by step.

Thank you

Aric

During the login you can disable that, go to System -> Administration
-> Login Window and there you will find settings to autologin. The
administrative tasks require you to enter password, that can't be
disabled :D

only want to use it. That is a tribute to how good Linux is.
