can't write my password on terminal windows

I want to instal SKYPE
Failed to fetch http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/q/qt4-x11/libqt4-network_4.4.3-0ubuntu1.1_i386.deb 404 Not Found - This is the note on packtage instaler
I have to write in terminal windows :sudo apt-get install libqt4-core
That is no problem , but when he ask me for my password I c'ant write it he d'ont write my password
What can I do?

Write it anyway and press enter, it will work, it's just because he doesn't
show in the terminal, it's a normal behaviour
