Panel is not working properly

Asked by SWAGATAK GHOSH

I am using ubuntu 11.04 ,64 bit. Sometimes when I starts my laptop,it is showing that the panel is not working properly,you have to delete it. then there appears a pop up,there is two option delete and cancel. After deleting the whole panel gets empty. I have to add all the applets again . What is happening in my system? Is there something wrong? How to solve this ?
Is there any such option like windows system restore?
thanks

Try:

gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/panel && killall gnome-panel

Sir ,
I found that answer and I also know the command

gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/panel && killall gnome-panel

this command restore back the panels back again. Thanks launchpad ,because When I was confused about how to back panels again ,I have searched through answers and found that command and worked fine.
But I want to know what is happening ? Why the panel is stopped working just after the boot ?
I want to inform that I have downloaded some themes and icons. Are they creating problems ? How to solve this permanently ?
thanks

Themes and icons don't create any problem. Maybe some applet has jammed them all or things like this..
