Your wireless adapter is trying to use the wrong driver. It needs the b43 driver, not the wl driver.

Please copy-paste the following commands into the Terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer
sudo apt-get remove bcmwl-kernel-source

Then please run the following Terminal command:

gksudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

Using the gedit editor, please add the following configuration lines in
the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file:

blacklist wl

SAVE the change to the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file after
removing the configuration lines.

Then reboot and retest wireless.
