Hi ,

is difficult for us to guess the hardware that you have , so you have to do something .

Boot to Ubuntu and open a terminal (CTRL+ALT+T) and paste below command and press Enter.
Be careful , that below command is ONE command. Copy-paste as it is

echo -e "$(lsb_release -rcd) \n $(uname -r) \n$(lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 net) \n$(lsmod) \n$(dmesg | grep -ie frim)" >> info.txt

Then a file named info.txt will be created in your home folder , save (move) this file somewhere (usb-flash or Windows partition) and then boot from Windows , open the file (with an editor- wordpad .. etc) and paste the results here.

Thanks

## CORRECTION ##

This is the correct command :

echo -e "$(lsb_release -rcd) \n $(uname -r) \n$(lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 net) \n$(lsmod) \n$(dmesg | grep -ie firm -ie net -ie lan)" >> info.txt

Dear NikTh,

I had followed below steps, however i stuck and not installed wi fi driver

###################

 1.Open a terminal with Ctrl+Alt+T.

2.You'll need to install these packages first to build the driver:
sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-generic linux-headers-`uname -r`

3.Paste the below line to download and extract the driver archive in one single step:
wget -O- http://dl.dropbox.com/u/57056576/DRIVERS/REALTEK/rtl_92ce_92se_92de_8723ae_linux_mac80211_0006.0514.2012.tar.gz | tar -xz

** i dont have internet connection in linux environment, so this step i couldnt able to complete.

4.Change to the extracted driver's directory, build and install the driver:
cd rtl_92ce_92se_92de_8723ae_linux_mac80211_0006.0514.2012
make
sudo make install

5.Test the driver by loading it (this is a one-time step; after you reboot once, the driver should automatically load on every boot):
sudo modprobe rtl8723e

################

Last thing

Keep in mind that , a kernel's update (through update-manager) will require from you to repeat the procedure.
You have to re-build and re-install the module in to the new kernel .

So , save somewhere the folder with the driver , and when a new kernel arrives , connect to the folder (cd) and run again the commands

sudo make

sudo make install

sudo modprobe rtl8723e

and you are ready.
