I NEED HELP TO GET IT TO WORK ITS FOR WINDOWS XP OR GREATER IHAD XP BEFORE WNT TO UBUNTU I USE ONLY UBUNTU NOW DON'T HAVE WINDOWS XP OPERATING DISC ANY MORE . I DON'T HAVE MONEY TO BUY A BETTER COMPUTER HERE IS SOME INFO. ON THE ADAPTER. WSUB54GC VERS.3. MAC# 00259CA34E87 FROM CISCO/LINSKSY PLEASE EXPLAIN IN LAYMEN TERMS ON HOW TO GET IT TO WORK THANKS SINCERELY

Kill the caps please it's harder to read. What XP does or doesn't do is of zero value to us. XP is a completely different OS with completely different support.

Can you have the device attatched and run:

sudo lshw -C network; sudo iwlist scan | head -n 20

I also use the USB and faced some issues regarding it and I think you need to change the usb device visit here https://www.businessstudynotes.com/ to see the details.
