What download are you referring to? I know there is an issue with the flash install and there are several bugs reported. If you are downloading from Mozilla that is a different issue.

The window appears and said down load additional plugins. I did
everything is said and it was like it never happened.

There is another problem I am having and it is an annoyance but it is
still a problem

If I mount a secondary hard drive shortly after booting up everything
works fine. If I wait 10 mins then I have to reboot to see the drive.

Yeah, that's probably related to the bug. Try the solution outlined here

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=636397

It worked for me.

Actually that might be due to Firefox in Ubuntu is patched, usually when firefox is patched the plug in down loader does not work correctly.

Jim is right. Bug 173890 is your issue.

Can you help with this problem?
