This is an addendum to my last question

Thanks for your help. When I go to site: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ it basically tells me that Flashplayer is disabled. In Firefox - tools- plugins there is no Flashplayer there is a Shockwave Flash that is enabled. In addition, Adobe Flash plugin (from the Ubuntu Software Center) is installed. Here is where I am now. In Youtube I can play some of the videos but others tell me that the video is not now available. I suspect that I have some sort of Parental Control enabled but I don't know where it is or how to disable it. Now when I go to Grooveshark (the site I actually want to use) I get an error message that tells me that I do not have Adobe Flash and directs me to a download site. the site is "get.abobe.com/flashplayer. So far so good. When I try to download Flash Player it ask which of the following I want: YUM for Linux (YUM), .tar.gz for other Linux, .rpm for other linux, and APT for Ubuntu 10.04+. (I have Ubuntu 12.04, I think). Because Flashplayer is not available through the Ubuntu Software Center I do not know how to download and install a program from another source. When I start the download Ubuntu wants to know what program I want to use to handle the program. I am sure it is a compressed file and I have no idea as to how to open and install this file. Do you have any suggestions.

That is Firefox?
Did you restart firefox after removing flashblock?
Is flashplayer installed?
As in the other question when you've opened tools - addons, there is also a section 'plugins', does it content a flashplayer?

Please close firefox and open a terminal: ctrl+alt+t
Enter:
dpkg -l flash* | grep ii

If above doesn't output any flash application, install adobe flashplayer:
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer

Don't install more than one flash application as firefox will only
recognize one version.

There is a test page, you need to allow java script of course.

Yep, that's adobe flash-plugin.

Anyway if you'd have followed as suggested by #1 this would've told you if flashplugin is installed or not, but unfortunately you've preferred not to answer.
Please close firefox and open a terminal: ctrl+alt+t
Enter:

This way the output tells the other person which doesn't sit in front of your computer what's installed, rather more reliable than saying there is no flashplugin in software-center.

Well just try this, enter there in the search box: adobe
and view adobe flashplugin showing up on the list.

a) you've installed some plugin yourself, then you should be able to remove it.
b) ask your parents.

Are you able to post requested terminal outputs?

When I entered dpkg -l flash* | grep ii (at the Terminal level) I received this: ii flashplugin-installer 11.2.202.236ubuntu0.12.04.1 Adobe Flash Player plugin installer.

When I went to the test page ( https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/) I received a message saying "This plugin is disabled." in addition it directs me to a link (manage plugins) when I go to this site it shows that I have Shockwave Flash ENABLED.

So far I am dealing with the following: Shockwave Flash, Adobe Flash plugin and Adobe FlashPlayer. As far as I can tell I have the first two installed or enabled but I do not see FlashPlayer anywhere. My question, are all three the same thing and do I need all three? In YouTube some of the videos play some say that the video is not available. When I go to Grooveshark, I always get this message "

Great, thanks. There is only adobe flash installed, 'shockwave' is just another term.
No need for manual downloading adobe flashplayer because it's already installed and the version from the web page is the same as the one from package manager.
As already mentioned it doesn't make sense to have more flashplugins installed.

I try, I don't always understand what you are asking me to do but I give it my best shot. Believe me, I appreaciate and I am beginning to learn my way around this process. I have only been using Ubuntu for a couple of weeks now.

Yes, Java scripting and cookies are enabled. In Firefox- Edit-Preferences-Privacy: the following boxes are checked, Remember my browsing history, remember download history, accept cookies form sites, accept third party cookies.
