updated Firefox to 9.0.1. No padlock on https pages

Asked by lawlf

I am using Ubuntu 10.10
I recently updated Firefox to 9.0.1, using a suggested fix found on your site.
But I noticed that there is No padlock anywhere on https pages and some text in the address bar is greyed out.
This appears to be true for all https pages, including Hotmail, Facebook, logins.
I am unsure if the page or the upgrade, is scam or forgery.

https sites won't have padlock on pages in firefox 9.01. you can see the content provider's name highlited in blue color in the address bar (before the "https" text) and you can have confirmation that it is secure by clicking on it. you will get the data regarding site name, encryption type and conten owner(optional). it's not a bug.
