Ubuntu firefox will not display a website, displayed page is white no visual website features

Asked by Dale Kimpson

Specifically, I use to be able to display any website. a few days ago I am no longer able to get governmentjobs.com to display in the browser. The page comes up white and activity shows done. I have used another computer with a different browser to verify my internet line works and the website displays perfectly for that computer and browser. How do I fix this issue with Ubuntu/Firefox?

I started seeing white windows in Firefox in 11.04. Eventually found I might get the contents by changing the window size -- either with the size corner or just moving to the right to get the half screen. Some sizes are white, some display.

It is not the website governmentjobs.com. I have contacted both Washington
State, who references governmentjobs.com with links, and they have full
access and display. Of course they are using WINDOWS and MS Explorer,
however, I have only experienced my problem with Linux and Firefox since

I experienced the same event taking place in other browser programs loaded
onto my Ubuntu system. I have 3 separate hard drives in the Ubuntu computer
and experienced the event from every hard drive in the Ubuntu computer. I
did not experience the event using another computer using Windows and
Firefox.

I installed updates to my Ubuntu Firefox and the event still occurs. At
this point I question whether governmentjobs.com system has an exclusionary
policy against Linux/Ubuntu operating systems and programs. Ubuntu/Firefox
need to address this issue if it happens to be the case.

it's not a problem with firefox. more like it's the site. lots of poor programmers out there.
i tried it with firefox and konqueror and came up with a blank page.
actionparsnip likes to use chrome, so i'm guessing it doesn't work with chrome either.

Yeah Chromium Daily Build here. Could try an agent switcher to make the site think you are using Windows. May make a difference.

Dale said -- And how would one go about doing that task?
In 3 Firefox go to *Tools*Add-ons*Get Add-ons*Browse All Add-ons*in search box type in user agent, will bring up User Agent Switcher, click on Add to Firefox.
ON Firefox 6 and 7 it will be a little different.

In rereading your posts, I may have missed your point. If you already have (Default) User Agent (Switcher); to turn on IE 8, click on User Agent, then click Internet Explorer, then IE8. IE6 and IE7 may also work.

To fix the issue with governmentjobs.com not displaying on Ubuntu/Firefox, try clearing your browser cache and disabling any extensions. These steps can help resolve potential conflicts and ensure a clean browsing experience. If the problem persists, you may also consider updating Firefox to the latest version or reinstalling it to ensure a fresh installation. For more visit : https://techpando.com/

Firefox 125.0, the website https://potteryandcrafting.com/best-banding-wheels/ displays only a white window until the X close next to the Home icon in upper left is clicked (same place as the reload icon when complete), then the site displays. Apparently, something is hanging up the page display, but most of it seems to display.

Can you help with this problem?
