I can only download debian files.

Please tell the files type you cannot download... and what are you trying to do

I try to download anything. It asks we what i would like to open it with and I have norhing or no file to open it with. Someone told me I don't have download drivers or something like that.

what exactly are you trying to do with the "files" you're downloading?

So basically I'm just trying to save an open them. I wanted to download a
torrent file so I went to a torrent website and it asked to save or open.
When I open it it doesn't come out like the pictures and song they should
come out to. But they come out into file and won't open. Kinda hard to
explain. Say I download a game. It comes out in files instead of opening the
game to start playing. It only opens the files. Not the actual game. Sorry
I'm a newbee on Linux. On my Microsoft and Apple it would just open up and
let me play the game video or like an executable in Windows. On Linux it
just opens the files.

For torrents: you must add Transmission or vuze from ubuntu software center (or from synaptic). After that by clicking on torrent file you will have the option to open it with onw of them.

Other files: Many files (specially games to download from the internet) only run in windows. Many sites correctly see that you do not have windows and say that you cannot run these programs in your operating system. Other sites do not bother.

In linux you cannot "run" files as executables if you just download them. You must change the permissions of the file and make it executable.

If you still have some question you must provide us with specific informations (ex. file type, name of file etc )

I tried to download Vuze and it shows an error.

Package dependencies cannot be resolved
This error could be caused by required additional software packages which are missing or not installable. Futhermore there could be a conflict between software packages which are not allowed to be installed at the same time.

I have that transmission installed. I deleted it and tried but it still didnt work
