firefox will not open website

Asked by kittenlover

Firefox will not open website - www.job.com. After it tries to load, it will eventually come up and say, Page Load Error - The browser could not find the host server for the provided address. Does www.job.com possibly now not accept Firefox as a valid connection? It has in the past. Should I contact them?

by the way, I really don't think it's my ISP as I already contacted them and they said everything was working fine on my end. I can connect to this website from Internet Explorer just fine.

The site was not down for maintenance as this has been an on going issue with my computer for some time. I again tried the web address then using the IP address. Neither got me anywhere. Guess I just can't access it for some reason from my computer. Oh well, if no other suggestions.......

Have you tried another browser. Firefox is far from perfect. You could experiment with Opera or Epiphany. That way we can narrow down the issue to crappy firefox.

No its not it flat out sucks. Run flash in it then run the top command

if you try other brosers the result will be different. I have no idea why people use firefox, its a hunk of junk but hey its their choice
