I try to keep to passwords i can work out using a simple algorithm i tweak it a bit to suit but still it'd probably be better if i just wrote down all my passwords on a bit of paper - then no-one from the internet could compromise them and (more relevantly) i could remeber them more easily.

Good luck
Tom :)

PS Hindsight is great ;)

If you are still having trouble with this then please post it as a new question. Only the most recent questions tend to get looked at so posting/reposting a question just before america arrives online gives the best chance of getting a good few answers.

If the problem has been resolved then please follow the link to the forum thread and mark it as Solved.

Good luck and many regards from
Tom :)

I similarly had all my passwords disappear after updating from Firefox 2 to 3 (OS 10.4). It just dawned on me why this happened.

Firefox 2 had a pluggin (System proxy 0.2) which let me swap locations (work vs home) so I didn't have to change proxy setting. Firefox 3 said the that pluggin wasn't compatible so I ignored it. This meant that Firefox 3 wasn't able to see my keychain passwords & displayed no passwords.

I just found all my long list of missing passwords in the 'Keychain Access'. :-)
No doubt there may be similar paradigms with different causes.
