cant access gmail, firefox out of date?

Gmail wont allow me to access my email as it reports that the browser is out of date, and I cant seem to update it

Am a new ubuntu user

Sorry but as a newbie to ubunto, I don't know what you mean, how do I find

Press CTRL + ALT +T and it will launch a terminal. Copy and paste the commands given by Manfred and paste the output as an update on
