video converting

Asked by SWAGATAK GHOSH

I have installed WinFF. but it gives only few options. actually I want videos to convert for any mobile format like .3gp or .mp4.

in winff when i am keeping the output details as
Convert To...Mobile Phoness
then there is only one Device Preset.....that is MP3(Mono)
but thats a audio format.
Again when i am keeping the output details as
Convert To...Nokia
then there is only three Device Preset..... N810 (16:9),(4:3),and (24:10).
so how to convert for my mobile(nokia),it support .mp4,.3gp only. not avi. plz help me.

Thanks

Try DeveDe, just search it in the Synaptic package manager.

when I am trying to install Devede from software certre it is saying,

To install Devede , these items must be removed:
Ffmpeg file format library (libavformat52)
ffmpeg video postprocessing library
ffmpeg video scaling library

my question is is the removal of those can effect any other software.

yes I have just watched it(the video provided by you).

But this is showing to convert .avi . but my mobile does not support .avi . I said before it only support .3gp and .mp4. Anyway thanks for help.

I have asked lot of questions so far only for this purpose but still no solution. Respecting all programmer I am saying there is lot of software available for windows for this purpose, they are very easier to use also. But no such software for Ubuntu. I will not give up my hope. Plz inform me if there is any such easy software for Ubuntu.

thanks

Sorry about that. This one
<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPDrUsEa94U>should help. When you
start Devede it gives you converting options, just
pick the one you need. Self explanatory.
