Evolution will not send

Asked by cyby@earthlink.net

Has been working until today. Stopped sending today. I added "smptauth.earthlink.net to the server configuration, then noticed I had it wrong, and changed to smtpauth.earthlink.net. When I try to send a message, the error appears "Host lookup failed:smptauth.earthlink.net;Name or server not know."

The server configuaration bex takes the change but does not utilize it, and sends the error message.
What can I do?

Alright here's one think you can do, delete the new account you made
and then make it again. Sometimes this works :) BUT PLEASE PLEASE
BACKUP YOUR EVOLUTION. You can do that by going to file -> backup
settings.

Alright so it seems like deleting the configuration doesn't work, try
this at certain places evolution requires you to use like secure
server stuff [1] it has been found that using the secure server or TLS
screws up stuff. Send me some of your config. (not your username and
password ;) ) and I will find more regarding that :D
