Trying to set up different inboxes in evolution

Asked by Seth Mills

I want to set up separate inboxes and folders in evolution. I can do it in Thunderbird, and would like to be able to download from different accounts into separate mailboxes.
I just can't find the controls that will allow me to do it.

Go to File -> Preferences -> Mail accounts -> Add

This should solve your issue

I can set up the accounts. What I can't do is set up a separate inbox, and file folders.

Evolution is just accepting the single local inbox for all messages. What I need to be able to do is set a Account inbox, for each account.

Hi,

actually I don't really understand how these mailboxes and folders are organized.

When I launched the first time Evolution, they asked me to create an account, so I did, and I had two mailboxes, the one I created, and on called "On this computer".

So what I want is to create 2 more mailboxes like the one I created... I followed the instructions above, but I don't understand why I could create one separate mailbox with its specific settings, and all the others mail just go to "On this computer"...

?

thanks for help.

Sorry, I couldn't get it to work either. I gave up and am using
Thunderbird. It doesn't have the calendar feature, but lets me do what I
want.
