unable to send mail( broken pipe )????what is that using a used computer and don't have the pass word it never came with it

what i mean is when i try to send my mail from the evolution i get back can not send broken pipe i hope that i cleared that up and you can help me thank you

A "pipe" is jargon for a communication mechanism between two programs. Broken pipe means one of the programs shut down whilst the first was still trying to send information.

Any information you can provide (did this work previously, who is your host provider) could help
