ubuntu upgrade not showing wifi

i recently upgraded to ubuntu 14.0 on my dell latitude D420 laptop and now i am not able to connect by wifi, my switch is on but only says bluetooth is on can you help me out

What is the output of:

hey thanks fellas for all your help.....i went back to a question i asked about a year ago and i seen this command "sudo rfkill unblock all"
i entered it into a terminal and now my "wifi" light came on and seems to be working fine now
