document viewer defaults to fit page width

If you rename the evince config folder in $HOME or $HOME/.config does it work as you wish? If one doesn't exist I can dig deeper.

I have not been able to to find an evince config folder and am still having the problem with the default magnification. Thank you.

I fiddled a little with the evince folder but the default magnification remains too large. I am still waiting for some way to fix this.

Since updating to Ubuntu 10.04 the evince document viewer always defaults to the magnification "fit page width" and I am
required to change the magnification to 100% every time I open a new document. This is very inconvenient. Is there some
way to change the default to 100% magnification? I am still having this problem.
