Unwanted user contact

Asked by Squishered

I uploaded contacts from AIM and such. There is a user I thought I had blocked but it is still able to contact me. I can't seem to find any way to block them from seeing me without hiding from the people I actually talk would like to see (since I don't always have my buddy list open). Is there any sort of block feature or appear permanently invisible to this person?

Alright it doesn't seem like empathy has this feature, sorry this is
one of the most demanding requests and the upstream is working on it.
You can however install pidgin which used to be the default client
before for Ubuntu from here [1]

only want to use it. That is a tribute to how good Linux is.
