MSN on linux

Recently updated to 10.04 on linux. Now unable to use msn on hotmail.

I am not certain whats going on there but a quick workaround would be to use some other chat client like pidgin. though it would be helpful if you could delete every account in pidgin and reboot your system and then add msn account again wiht @hotmail ID and see if that might solve the problem.

Amsn is another client, as is emesene.

You question mentions chat and email but which is at issue? Can you please clarify the question.

I used to use Pidgin but now i gather its empathy.

Maybe try as suggested in bug report.
via CLI:
killall telepathy-butterfly

## and reconnect.
