The meaning of your post is unclear. Are you saying that the message goes away when you change your username?

If there is another question useful to this topic, it is best to paste its URL, or at least to specify its number (for example, *this* is question 141975).

Is your problem solved, or do you still require assistance?

It has occurred to me: Two other people have posted this (or a very similar) question over the past ~12 hours (see https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dmidecode/+question/142030 and https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dmidecode/+question/142031), which seems to suggest that there may be a bug in a recent update that's causing this.

This question was expired because it remained in the 'Needs information' state without activity for the last 15 days.
