How can I get my Lexmark X63 to run with Ubuntu, I keep getting a cups error.

From a loooong websearch I've found that it seems to work with Z53 driver. Try that instead.

Well, when you chose the printer driver you chose the X63 driver didnt you, as it matches your printer. If you change the driver to the driver for a Lexmark Z53 driver instead it will work. I thought that was apparent, sorry

You can change it in printer settings. You installed the printer so go through the same steps to change the driver

You may be able to do it in

gksudo firefox http://localhost:631

Either way is fine.
