cannot push with bzr ERROR: Connection closed: Unexpected end of message.

This question has been asked before and I cannot seem to apply the solutions or answer to my situation - it's very frustrating.

i would like to push a fix to lp and the error i get is as follows:

nathanel@Mercury:~/build-area/ubuntu-mono$ bzr launchpad-login nathanel.titanenathanel@Mercury:~/build-area/ubuntu-mono$ bzr push lp:~nathanel.titane/ubuntu/oneiric/ubuntu-mono/fix-842331-842338
Permission denied (publickey).
bzr: ERROR: Connection closed: Unexpected end of message. Please check connectivity and permissions, and report a bug if problems persist.

please help

 it looks like your ssh key is not set up correctly.

Does "ssh-add -l" list the same key that is listed on your launchpad page?

it says it has no identities
