Hello,

here is the steps to reproduce the bug
1
. take an ubuntu cdrom or dvdrom or
2. open a terminal

apt-cdrom add

apt-cdrom add
Using CD-ROM mount point /media/cdrom/
Unmounting CD-ROM...
Waiting for disc...
Please insert a Disc in the drive and press enter
Mounting CD-ROM...
E: Failed to mount the cdrom.
E: No CD-ROM could be auto-detected or found using the default mount point.
You may try the --cdrom option to set the CD-ROM mount point.
See 'man apt-cdrom' for more information about the CD-ROM auto-detection and mount point.

Nore On ubuntu the default mount point is in /medoia/username/ and no on /media/cdrom

I make a symbolik link name /media/cdrom point to the cdrom but I have allwas the ussues.

Could you help me to fix this it

Thanks for your support and best regarda

If you are using the same CD to install more packages ad the one you installed the OS with then the lines in /etc/apt/sources.list already exist, just uncomment them and the CD will be read.

If the system has Web access then these probably won't be used as the versions of the packages online will undoubtedly be newer than the ones on the disk.

Can you help with this problem?
