Software Updater / entire system continuously crashes
System (13.04 64-bit) continuously crashes in cascades (mostly when Software Updater is running), with various errors displayed, eg;.:
E: Problem parsing dependency Replaces
E: Error occurred while processing gir1.2-pango-1.0 (NewVersion2)
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.
Tried many many workarounds found on Ubunutu formus including all steps until 6 here:
https:/
But eventually nothing works and am back in the same situation....
Any solutions?
Thanks,
M.
