Can I start installation with a CD-RW ?

Sorry Guys,
Thsi might look stupid,
But I've a ISO of ubuntu 10.4 ans 12.04 for intel x86-64 and I'am able to run the installation in a Machine AMD Machine !!!
root@cmovel-lb01:~# lscpu

2 Questions ?
What should be the correct Vesrion ? Intel x86-64 or AMD64?
And
I've create a boot CD from the ISO ubuntu-12.04.2-server-amd64
Unzipp the RAR
Copy all the folder into a CD-RW
When I boot it from this CD it doesn't work!!!!
Is it because is a RW?

I was burning my CD wrong way .... Sorry
