Why can I no longer click on and open videos etc after upgrading to Ubuntu 12.04 LST?

Asked by Peter Edward Smith

Faithfully use the "Update Manager"! After updating to the suggested Ubuntu 12.04 LST I can no longer open videos on websites or ones sent to me by colleagues via e-mail. On visiting some websites I get a messge that my software is lacking Java Script as well. Additionally, the frequency of Fire Fox Crashes is increasing significantly.as well as screen lock ups. I'm sent mutiple numbers of messages from Fire Fox like "OOps" we are embarassed that Fire Fox has crashed etc. All the while I have done nothing different nor changed anything on my (desktop) PC How can I get this fixed? Would appreciate your help very much!

Thank you

P.E.Smith
