If you go to:
http://ppa.launchpad.net/michael-gruz/canon/ubuntu/dists/

You will see the PPA doesn't support Precise. You should remove the PPA

Please use the update-manager properties and simply deactivate the michael-gruz ppa rows...

Then press verify and update the system...

The michael-gruz ppa are for set canon related printer and there is still no packages available for ubuntu 12.04
