regarding installing updates.

when i am trying to install updates,it is showing error message in line no 55 in source list/etc/apt/sources.list. All manually options are not working here.
Actually options were coming from more than a week but i was canceling everytime. what i should do now to install updates?

have you tried

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade ??

and also let me know the output of

lsb_release -a; uname -a
