apt package

cant install anything beacause apt is unable to fetch some archives

hey there is an issue with downloading apps through apt i get this error
E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?
thanks in advance
this error started when a friend decided to mess with me and close the terminal in the middle of an install and canceled it

have you tried updating .....
sudo apt-get update
