sudo apt-get --reinstall install nano

does it install without issue?

After an update, CUPS stopped working. I tried to fix it, but "gutenprint" wan't install as it is 'untrusted file'. From then on, the Software Center won't install anything, as soon as I press install it says "Check your internet connection" and then it says that some elements xome from untrusted source. Also, I can not update through the Update Manager, as some elements come also from untrusted sources.

Not seeing a problem then, packages can be installed and reinstalled and there are no updates. Packages are fine..... What is the issue?

I can't install anyting through thw software center, I can't print (problem with CUPS), and it doesnt update.

Can you give a screenshot of software centre when you see the issue, use something like imageshack to host.

What printer do you have?

You will have a problem install using software center if you running on 11.10. (Based on my experience)
I only able to use software center after running 12.04 Alpha 2.
Please use terminal to install any software
