When I try to update I get the errors about launchpad repositories and libraries. Also, Thunderbird won't install couchbd.

Asked by nogloww

When I check for upgrades it starts loading caches but at the end an error pops up with the following, "W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/shantzu/clipit/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/main/source/Sources 404 Not Found
, W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/shantzu/clipit/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/main/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found
, E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead." Also, Thunderbird won't install couchdb for the address book integration. I am running Ubuntu Oneric. My computer is often very slow and locks up a lot now that I have upgraded to Oneric.

That's great! Everything works except when I installed couchdb for
thunderbird in the terminal, it still shows up as disabled in the
extensions packages. It says that it is not compatible with thunderbird
9.0. Any ideas? What's the command to run the couchdb package in the
terminal?

http://ppa.launchpad.net/shantzu/clipit/ubuntu/dists/

It only supports up to Natty. If you run:

sudo apt-get -y install ppa-purge; sudo ppa-purge ppa:shantzu/clipi

It will remove the PPA
