Not able to download and install packages,

Not able to download and install packages through any way. Always shows this message
W: Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/x/x264/libx264-67_0.svn20090621+git364d7d-0ubuntu2_i386.deb
  404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.92.184 80]

What should i do.

first ping the command "ping -c 5 google.com"
if u suffer 100% loss then u have a internet connection problem

Also:

ping -c 10 us.archive.ubuntu.com

And if the responses are very slow (like several seconds) then the server might be choked or simply not very accessible to you. Try selecting a server that will work better for you. Ubuntu Software Sources will set up the best server for you based on response times.

How are you trying to install the package?
