Type '“deb' is not known on line 62 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list

Asked by Tatenda Poland

When trying to use apt-get i get this error message:

Type '“deb' is not known on line 62 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list

So obviously (it seems) I have a corrupted line in my sources.list.

Can you tell me how to fix that? Thank you!

You have written

>>“deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free main”<<

*with* quotation marks. There should be no quotation marks
