Can you give the output of;

lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy libdrm-nouveau1

Sorry, after this problem being locked into my pc for two days. I told Ubuntu to basically uninstall itself, then wiped the memory and hard drive. Now it is back and running fine. Thank you for your willingness to help though.
