enable universe option

when i want to update or install the software in BT5.
the error i got .....you will have to enable universe...so..
how can i enable universe ??

You can enable the "universe" repository by using the software-sources tool

i have chkd this one......but i m using BT5 ....in this we system-administration-system monitor(only single option)
there is no option of software sources
